Valkyrie, also known as Brunnhilde, is a character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). She first appeared in the movie Thor Ragnarok.
In the MCU, Valkyrie is a battle-hardened Asgardian warrior. She was once a member of the Valkyrior, an elite group of female warriors who served Odin. After a devastating battle against Hela, she fled to Sakaar and became a scavenger, haunted by her past.
Introduced in Thor Ragnarok, Valkyrie is played by actress Tessa Thompson. She initially works as a slave trader before joining Thor and Bruce Banner in their fight against Hela. Following the events of the movie, she becomes a valuable ally to Thor. She eventually becomes the King of New Asgard, ruling over the surviving Asgardians.
